Oscar and Lucinda

1997

Synopsis

Oscar (Ralph Fiennes) is a cute little kid with a strange religious background. Lucinda (Our Cate) is a sweet little girl who gets a Prince Rupert's Drop. In college, Oscar is an outcast, but learns about the horse races. Lucinda uses her large inheritance to buy a glassworks factory. So, Oscar and Lucida meet, they become friends linked by their oddities and by their addiction to gambling. They come up with a bet. They design and construct a glass church that Oscar will deliver from Sydney to a small town in the rugged outback. This movie is quirky, but really worth it.

Cate Content

As one of the title characters, she's in it a lot.
