Synopsis

Christina Ricci is the main character, Suzie. During WWII she fleas from Nazi persecution to England, and then to Paris. In Paris she sings as a choir girl and meets up with Lola (Cate's character). They become opera singers as Suzie tries to get enough money join her family in America. At the same time, she meets a gypsy, played by Johnny Depp. Cate hooks up with John Turturro. Frankly, Suzie gets the better deal.
