Cate plays an English teacher living in Italy who's lost her husband to a drug overdose. When some of her students start succumbing to the same fate, she plants a bomb to murder the drug dealer and winds up killing innocent bystanders instead. It will costar Giovanni Ribisi as an officer with whom Cate's character falls in love with in prison. This is the film Cate and Giovanni got buzz cuts for. Heaven is directed by Run Lola Run director, Tom Tykwer. The screenplay was written by Krzysztof Kieslowski and this is the first of a planned trilogy that the late Polish filmmaker had planned as his next series of projects. Miramax has plans to make all three films, with Hell coming next, and ending with Purgatory. It's unknown if Tom Tykwer will be directing all three.
